Excited About The Upcoming Sequel To Birthmarked Trilogy.. Prized
I was very excited to see that Amazon has Birthmarked for only 2.99. It was 9.99. This is for your kindle. This was my first book purchased when I received my kindle last Christmas. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the 2nd book Prized, which comes out November 8th. So, if have not read this book series yet.. take advantage of it when it is on sale and then you will be able to read the next book ready in November. I highly recommend this trilogy. Kat and Friends are Back and Better than Ever !
The Protectors: Book 2 of The Royal Blood Chronicles
By: Elizabeth Loraine
Published: First Edition Aug. 2010
Reviewed by: Countrygirl ♥
Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
The Protectors begins immediately after the events that concluded the previous book. Kat is back and continues to strengthen her bond between her friends. Kat and her friends are known to most as The Protectors. It is told that they are destined to end the battle of the races. These typical Royal teens will learn that they have a greater purpose than their social responsibilities. The Protectors will learn to strengthen each of their gifts in a way that will fulfill their forseen destinies. The Five will continue to battle between good and evil. Follow Kat and her friends and watchers as they continue to venture through their need to eliminate the Evil Races and stop their contamination of the good races.
I began this book as soon as the first book;Katrina, The Beginning; ended. Elizabeth Loraine continues to grab the readers attention in the very beginning and keeps you turning the pages to find out if the characters will be able to finally be rid of some of the evil doers. I love how Ms. Loraine can make a character that the reader will love to despise. There are characters that have become more developed in this book. I enjoyed this book as much as the first. That is saying alot! The Protectors continues to provide the reader with action, suspense, and romance. If you enjoy a great time piece that adds romance, drama, and page turning action; then you will want to add The Protectors to your must read book shelf. Ofcourse, make sure you read Katrina, The Beginning first.

Scared to Death
Hello Ya'll,
Well, today I decided to put down my kindle to start posting my reviews. I have a problem of not being able to put my kindle down. I jump from one ggod read to the next. Well, I was determined today to post atleast three reviews today. Well, I just put down my 13 month old daughter down for her nap and I was typing away on my laptop when I heard a noise. (I had wash going, so the noise was dismissed.) I continued to add pages to my blog when I suddenly caught an image in my peripherial vision. My heart stopped and I jumped out of my desk chair. I turned back to glance at the figure that scared me to death. It was my innocent little 13 month old smiling mischeviously at me. Well, I just thought I put her down for her nap, she fooled me. Well, I thought I would share that with ya today. Have you ever been scared to the point that you felt like you jumped out of your skin? If so, please comment below. I would love to hear from ya'll.

Aspirations of Book Reviewer
I have always loved to read and share my opinion of the book I read. Hmm I still remember when I was about thirteen years old, I loved reading romance books. I read Sweet Valley High, Couples, Seniors, and books in series. Well, my family lived in a small town outside our local library, so we had to check out books from another town that was about 10 miles away. Since we lived outside Library’s city limits, it cost 20.00 a year to receive a Library Card. Well, it was worth every penny. I checked out 7 books at a time and read each one within the two week deadline. Well anyways, my friends gave me the nickname Karebear (Hence my name is Karen). I had my special little bear trademark that I would leave on a small slip of paper that I would insert in the book after I read it. I would include m y review and sometimes I would pick what actors would make great characters if the story went to become a motion picture. Well, the funny thing about this story is that I continued to leave these messages with my secret Karebear (bear) symbol for years until I graduated and moved away to attend college. A few years after I married, we returned to the Library during a Local Book Sale while visiting our family. The library was selling all the books that I remembered reading and I purchased a huge box of them. Good ol’ memories. Well, the funny thing is I was looking at one of the books and found my review of the book still inside the pages. I showed my husband and thought this was so neat. Hmm don’t know what happened to that book now but it was like opening a time capsule. So, I continue to read my books and instead of dropping a note inside the book’s pages. I will venture among my thoughts and opinions of my readings using a more technical tool such as my blog, Amazon, Goodreads, and Facebook. I love this new technology but I am happy to take part in the message in the bottle type of reviews when I was just starting out.
Thanks for listening ya’ll.

Very New To Blogging......But Learning As I Go
Well, I'm sorry I have not posted in awhile. My goal is to share my thoughts of the books that I read. I have already read seven books since my first review. I need to begin to post the reviews before I continue to read other books. I need to keep the current book read fresh in my mind, so I can manage a fair review. I have also been trying to figure out how to create different pages such as reviews. I was happy to find the option to create new pages. So, happy!! If you stop by and would like to give me some advice at what could improve my blog...... please do not hesitate. I need all the help I can get!
Thank you guys!

Follow Katrina in this beginning tale of the Royal Blood Chronicle series. Katrina, the Beginning is told in the point of view of a young seventeen year old vampire named Katrina. The story takes place in the 1800s and although the Royals have their own servants that tend to their beck and call, the characters are still very compassionate and unselfish towards their staff and watchers. Of course, Katrina would never ever consider them staff but rather family. She discovers new friendships that are more important than she would ever have imagined. Katrina is a strong protagonist and is very easy to love. Hmm It seems like every male character becomes infatuated with her with in the small time of meeting her. She faces first time romance, enemies, and never ending adventure. Katrina realizes that she has a purpose and must learn to strengthen her gifts with her new companions.
I have to admit that I have been trying to finish this first review of the first book for over a week now. I have been writing a little.. saving… and then returning to write a lil’ more. Why? Well, the honest truth is that I have loved this series so much that I have been unable to put the continuing books of this series. However, I have been trying very hard to review the book as soon as I finish it but Elizabeth Loraine has done a wonderful job at ending each book in a manner that makes you dive into the next book with the wonder at what will possibly happen next.
This is my first series that I have read of Elizabeth Loraine’s books. I was very impressed with her story telling. I really enjoyed the fact that Katrina, The Beginning took place in the 1800s. It was nice to experience the mannerisms, fashion attire, and social events that the Royals are able to take part in. I also enjoyed the many characters that Ms. Loraine has included in this story. I love the two love interests Quinn and Damien. Hmm ……which should she choose? The handsome human watcher that has been her best friend since they were babies or the mysterious Royal Vampire, Damien who is also very interested in Katrina. Poor Katrina! Wish we all had that dilemma.
In the beginning I felt that she fell in love too easily with the love interest but it actually makes a lot of sense when you continue to read the books. So, do not give up! They continue to get very interesting and page turning. I must say that I have never read a book that mentioned bath taking as much as Katrina, The Beginning does. Hmm It does make me wish I had a Sara that would draw my warm bath with nice soothing fragrances and be there to brush my hair. Sounds relaxing.
I also love the many training exercises and battles that Katrina partakes in. Boy, Katrina may look sweet and innocent but I definitely would not mess with her. I would hate to be her enemy because she is definitely a warrior with her weapons and Vampire speed.
If you have not yet began this book series . I highly recommend Katrina, The Beginning be on your must read book shelf. Trust me! I have read many books. You will not put this book down anytime soon.

Too Many Books .....Too Little Time
Hello Everyone,
This is my first time hosting a Blog. So, please bare with me while I learn as I go. If you have any recommendations or suggestions, please feel free to let me know. Actually, I was trying to post my first message a few minutes ago. I was almost finished and when I hit spell check.......my message has disappeared. :'( So, my post has changed. I am determined to try and post a review each and every time I read a book. I have read so many books since I began last September. I have read over 100 books easy. Well, I am so excited to grab the next book in the series that I tend to forget to review the previous book of the series and then 100 books later I tend to forget the characters, plot of each book I have read. I believe it is my duty as a reader that I should share my opinions of the books I read. I have read so many books and I need to go back and become refresh at what I read and review them . However, currently I am reading the Royal Blood Chronicles by Elizabeth Loraine. I have already read the first two of the series and am 60% at finishing the third book Cain: The Quest. So far .... it's pretty good. I am trying to finish my review for the first book. I tend to take a lot of time trying to perfect my review. Hmm perfectionist leads to procrastination. I believe this is what takes me so long. Well, wish me luck. Hope you enjoy my blog and please share any suggestions at posting interesting and unique reviews that are helpful to both the reader and author.
