Aspirations of Book Reviewer

I have always loved to read and share my opinion of the book I read. Hmm I still remember when I was about thirteen years old, I loved reading romance books. I read Sweet Valley High, Couples, Seniors, and books in series. Well, my family lived in a small town outside our local library, so we had to check out books from another town that was about 10 miles away. Since we lived outside Library’s city limits, it cost 20.00 a year to receive a Library Card. Well, it was worth every penny. I checked out 7 books at a time and read each one within the two week deadline. Well anyways, my friends gave me the nickname Karebear (Hence my name is Karen). I had my special little bear trademark that I would leave on a small slip of paper that I would insert in the book after I read it. I would include m y review and sometimes I would pick what actors would make great characters if the story went to become a motion picture. Well, the funny thing about this story is that I continued to leave these messages with my secret Karebear (bear) symbol for years until I graduated and moved away to attend college. A few years after I married, we returned to the Library during a Local Book Sale while visiting our family. The library was selling all the books that I remembered reading and I purchased a huge box of them. Good ol’ memories. Well, the funny thing is I was looking at one of the books and found my review of the book still inside the pages. I showed my husband and thought this was so neat. Hmm don’t know what happened to that book now but it was like opening a time capsule. So, I continue to read my books and instead of dropping a note inside the book’s pages. I will venture among my thoughts and opinions of my readings using a more technical tool such as my blog, Amazon, Goodreads, and Facebook. I love this new technology but I am happy to take part in the message in the bottle type of reviews when I was just starting out.
Thanks for listening ya’ll.
